Do you ship internationally?
Yes we do, however there may be restrictions and additional costs depending on the country and/or species.

We ensure your wood is packed with extreme care and shipped via reliable global couriers with full tracking.

Please email us your order or have specific requirements, feel free to contact us for a bespoke quote and payment options.​
Note that we use our preferred courier as they are proven to deliver quickly and safely, with very few customs issues. With this in mind, we won't change couriers for your order, but we can pack your order and provide weights and dimensions for you to arrange shipping yourself.
When will my order ship?

We ship orders within 4 days of receipt of payment. We use AusPost and Fedex insured shipping for local and international deliveries. Tracking numbers will be issues once posted.
Will there be sales tax or duties on my international order?
Yes, most of the time. When you import goods (buy from another country) your own countries customs will generally charge you duty, worked out as % of the total order value. The amount depends on where your order is shipping to and the duty/tax rates set by that country. We do expect our customers to research this themselves as you will be liable to pay any fees directly to customs in your delivery country.

We add your provided contact details to the shipment, so that you receive tracking and customs can contact you directly about any fees.
In the EU, you will need to pay VAT as well. This will NOT be added at checkout and you will need to pay it on import to your country. You can add your VAT number at checkout if you are registered and we will add this to the customs declaration when we are booking your shipment.

In the United States and elsewhere, any other Sales Tax will be due at the time of import and payable by you.
Where did this timber come from?
Our resident luthier and his business mentor started collecting tonewoods many years ago. These sets have been procured from old growth collections from other luthiers and tonewood collectors in their travels around the world. All pieces on this site are perfectly dried, stored in a humidity controlled vault and ready to be worked immediately.
I would like something specific, can you get it in for me?
Our collection contains some of the finest woods available, and has a large stock that wont currently be on the website. So if you are looking for something in particular then just drop us a message with the details and we’ll see if we can help.
Can you give me advice on how to work with the timber I have purchased?
Yes, absolutely! We spent a long time sourcing this collection of high quality timber and definitely want to provide any assistance to help make them into the instruments they deserve to be. From advice about filling borer or how to avoid cracks, we have the experience and knowledge to overcome any hurdles of working with these high 'Q" timbers.
Do you accept returns?

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, all sales are final. If an item is defective and you require a refund items must be inspected upon receipt and claims must be filed with The Woodbank within 3 days of receiving your order. Please email sales@thewoodbank.com.au
Products must be returned unaltered in their original packaging- photographs of products are taken before sending by The Woodbank shipping team.
